-Amber Lillian Sybil Lostetta Lamb Vlenoski Butter Dorset
To Whom it May Concern. I have known Amber Vlenoski for the past four years. She and I were involved in several projects, most notably; Termite and Vine Artist's and Musician's Homesteader Collective Cooperative Association. During the years she was involved with the project, her responsibilities included everything from clerical and legal paperwork to heavy duty electrical, plumbing and carpentry work. On top of all this, she is perhaps the single person that I know to have mastered the navigation of New Orleans City Hall bureaucracy. This is especially impressive because her tactics prove even more effective than many professional's in the field. Amber is a charismatic leader and I personally have worked on teams of five to seven workers under her direction. She is also an accomplished visual and performance artist. Her musical project, The Little Lambs, has achieved an underground cult following here in New Orleans and her visual art has been displayed in several galleries around town. I hope this letter gives you insight into Amber's character. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Very Truly Yours, Jascha I. Anti-Violence Street Team Meeting ...
FIRST MEETING OF THE ANTI-VIOLENCE STREET TEAM!!!
Hello Everyone,
Thank you very much for your interest and patience as we are moving forward with the Anti-Violence Project Street Team. We are very excited to get this project out into the streets and need your help to do so!
We will be having our first meeting with the AVP Street Team on February 15, 2010 at 7:00 pm here at The 519. At this time we can all meet each other and Howard Shulman, the Community Support Services Coordinator that will be supervising the program. We hope this first meeting will allow us to understand what each of us can bring to the team and build a shared understanding of the project. We hope that by the end of the meeting we will have a better sense of where we are at as a volunteer team, and what training and steps we need to take before we get out there. I look forward to seeing you all on there. Please let me know that you will be in attendance.
Hope you're well,
Scott Clarke

To Whom It May Concern,
I had the privilege of working with Miss Amber Vile during the years 2007 and 2008 on Termite and Vine Artist and Musicians Homesteaders Collective; as well as on The Little Lambs and The Miss Rockaway Armada art collectives. While working on Termite and Vine she taught me how to do residential electrical wiring. Amber is a knowledgeable and patient teacher who never hesitates to share what she has learned. She is the back bone of the Collective; and Termite and Vine would not exist if it weren't for her extensive legal work. She was in charge of material acquisition and logistics for the Miss Rockaway NOLA crew. Although, she was not able to make it on the raft trip due to her responsibilities with Termite; her artistic aesthetic was reflected in the construction of the Garden of Bling, the raft built by the our crew. Amber played the part of front lamb for The Little Lambs. She created the story line that inspired all of us, built props and instruments, and blew people away with her performance. In every situation, Amber was a power house. She worked harder, longer hours, and way more enthusiastically than anyone else. A joy to work with; Amber brings with her a sense of humor that can make even the most irksome task pleasant. It is my pleasure to recommend her for your vocational training. Any additional knowledge this woman has, is a resource to the world.
Sincerely, Alexis McDonough Pope
Dear Dr. Maxine Peterson: I have been an acquaintance of Ms. Lillian Butter for the past three years. Before I had the opportunity to meet Lillian Butter in person I was aware of her powerful and skillfully rendered artwork and online comic books which had positively influenced my circle of artist friends. During the past year I have had the opportunity to work with Lillian on several projects, the most fruitful of which has been the consignment of several of her published works to my online store, The Alchemist's Closet. Lillian continues to produce artistic and literary work with an industriousness that any artist must envy. Happily I have sold all of her works that were in my possession and I am eagerly awaiting more. In addition, Lillian Butter has contributed a written piece to the yearly journal of which I am the editor, The Alchemical Postmodern Theorist. It is a pleasure to work with Lillian Butter and her work ethic is extraordinary. If you have further questions, please contact me. Thank you, Zeraph Moore

To whom it may concern, Amber has worked with me on legal research for my house, and was able to independantly find important facts relating to a bankruptcy in question. Her ability to navigate the bankruptcy court's complex record-keeping system and create flowcharts from documents written in cryptic industry codes had me convinced that she had been in this line of work before, but apparently she has a knack for learning new skills on the spot. This is only one example of her adaptable nature. I have also worked with her on electronic projects where she matched my EE degree with her innate understanding of how things work. She is also a competant carpenter and chef, and I have experienced her work in both of these areas firsthand. But nowhere is her limitless mind more in evidence than in her artwork, which spans many media (that I have seen). I do hope you have a place for her. Sincerely, Jake Sternberg (415)533-3699
I have worked with Amber on many occasions since 2006. The first was when I worked for her demolition company in New Orleans. Most of our work together since then has been electrical. I have been trained as an electrician under Barry Foster Electrical Contractor, Berkeley, CA. Amber and I have done residential and commercial electrical work for the past 4 years. She is a diligent and competent worker. She always pulls through until the job is done. Very reliable worker. Jamie Lee Jones 510-809-5038
To whom it may concern, I am Steven DeCaprio a membership representative for the California League of Conservation Voters as well as a housing rights advocate in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have had the pleasure to work with Lostetta on numerous occasions. First, she sought my advice regarding housing advocacy while she was establishing food and housing support in New Orleans, Louisiana in the wake of hurricane Katrina. I was immediately impressed with her motivation and fearlessness in a daunting situation. Later when I visited the project she founded I was truly inspired with the legacy she left New Orleans through her hard work and determination. Her project was still operating in her absence and her contribution to the community was appreciated by many in New Orleans. The next time I had the pleasure to work with Lostetta was on a project of my own here in Oakland, California. I learned that she is not only an effective organizer and advocate but also one who is capable of tackling projects requiring skill and hard work. She helped me rehabilitate a blighted property in order to make the building habitable. Her assistance was instrumental in repairing a severely damaged roof, installing storm doors, clearing debris, and installing new utility service. Later I witnessed her assume the legal defense of a community space facing eviction that I myself had worked on before her. I was again impressed with her motivation, intellect, and commitment to the community. She was able to develop legal strategies and draft legal documents without training by doing her own research using whatever resources were available to her. In summation I can say with conviction that Lostetta is a motivated, passionate, capable, hard working individual who would be an asset to anyone in need of her skills which are numerous. Sincerely, Steven DeCaprio

Hey babay.....
I figured since you were good with photoshop you might be able to replicate the images on my website. If you have a look at the category tab / icon and the pinless dimensions diagram, i need to replicate these with a drawing of my new pinless wand as seen in the attached photo. I can easily draw this in cad, but i don’t know how to make it look like red images seen on the site. So you think you can do this?

Should I say this: Dear Canada, My association with Ms. AVV has been rewarding and challenging. We worked together to create a salvaged life in New Orleans after Katrina, plumbing, wiring, and rebuilding houses. We helped one another when too much time was spent in the massive hardware store, worked tirelessly to solve technical problems, supported each other during both of our court cases, and had a generally codependent relationship. I took care of her in the hospital and she stayed with me when she got out. After that, she chased me across a field and made me cry but it wasn't that bad. I don't know what to say about you. Tell me and I will but I can't think these days. Oh well. Love Clive Aparatus and the NOLA Squatocracy
To whom it may concern, Hi there! I am writing to tell of the wonders of my dear friend and artistic colleague: Sybil Lostetta Vlenski. I have known Miss Vlenoski a little over 4 years now and am still awakening in the wonders she has brought to my life. Never have I met a person with such furtive, intricate, intriguing, innovative, expressive, earnest, awakening, infallible genius compacted with compassionate love in all my life.. Of all the history books i've read and people I have met, I consider Lostetta the epitome of creative genius/artistic visionary, one of the most gifted artistic, scientific, social creative minds I have ever met. Not to mention hours of devoted time and hard work helping the survivors of Hurricane Katrina rebuild and reclaim their homes. Anyone blessed to work with such wondrous genius should consider themselves absolutley blessed in the glory they are beholding, for Lostetta is sorely missed in the United States in more regions one could name in an afternoon sitting while sitting in the southern New Orleans sun sipping sweet tea at sunset. In other words, I highly recommend this person for any field of practical, cooperative, hands on, creative/industrious/life changing/groundbreaking(literally AND figuratively) work. I myself am a spiritually guided visual artist, and including Sybil Lostetta Vlenski have worked with such famous and professional artists such as: "Swoon" Caledonia Curry. See WWW. Missrockaway.org for past project info. As well as the renowned photographer "The Polaroid Kidd" Mike Brodie please see: http://www.needles-pens.com/polaroidkidd.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Brodie I am also an occasional actress/filmaker having studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City 2004-2006. Such projects may be viewed at: http://www.myspace.com/whenyougettoheaven http://www.bike-films.com/photosandvideos/photosandvideos.php I have also worked with Lost and her amazing performance art puppetry in collaboration with an all girls musical trio called "Kiss Bank" in which I sang and played the accordion. The other two ladies played violin and guitar. You may view photos and listen to music here: http://www.myspace.com/kissbank I have also worked with Sybil in forming a club of independent intellectual pursuit in the name of self-discovery and coalition amongst friends and fellow creative community builders. The Science Nerd Apocalypse Guild (S.N.A.G.) http://boardster.net/snag/ I am currently residing in Asheville, North Carolina studying the healing arts with a focus on herbal and medicinal plants at "The Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine" http://www.chestnutherbs.com/ I am also preparing for training in reiki energy healing and kundalini yoga. Please feel free to contact me any time in regards to Miss Vlenoski, and may you continue to be blessed by her insight and presence. sincerely, Brandy M. Gump

lilian has that special kindof charisma only someone who thinks outside the box can have. She's quite mad, in the most genius sense of the word possible. Her art is Realer than realists, grounded in the grunge and filth characteristic of life on an orbiting ball of rock inhabited by domesticated monkeys so ashamed of their own shit (read, buttock), they sit on throwns designed by a frenchman that hides the smell of said ashamed excrement in the last of the overpopulated worlds fresh drinking water supply. It has been said of postmodern times that one must mutate or die, changes in environment occuring fast enough that those who do not evolve are left behind. in this sense, im not sure what radioactive sludge-pond Lost (read, lilian) has been slurping out of, but surely she represents some ahead-of-its-time possible future for humanity. part shaman capable of sending the spirits of roadkill on their merry bardo way, part artists transmuting trash into functionless aesthetic treasures, part community organizer leading the way in the homesteaders movement to reclaim foreclosed structures for the homeless, lilian butter is just the saturated fat content your overly-burnt toast needed on a cold canadian morning. you should hire her and loan her all of your savings account.
Why haven't you mentioned that you have a gallery representing you in New Orleans--Barrister's you dummy--will give you credibility of sorts On Thu, Apr 1, 2010 at 10:38 PM, lily butter <lillianbutter@yahoo.com> wrote: Gallery, My Darling. To Whom It May Concern: It is a distinct pleasure to recommend to you my long time friend and business associate Amber Vlenoski. I have known Ms. Vlenoski since 2005, when I worked for her Demolitions business in post-Katrina New Orleans. Since then I have also worked with her on the structural renovation of her Artists and Musicians Homesteaders Collective, located at 1825 Duels St. in New Orleans. In 2008, we collaborated on the production of an independent film, shot on location in the deserts of Southern California. I have always enjoyed working with Ms. Vlenoski. She has excellent skill in organizing and directing groups of people effectively to get the job done. Sincerely, Sean Logan Chief Technical Officer Distributed Biologics
